This eclectic collection started as an experiment to remove any personal choice from my colour selections. Interested in the balance between randomness and control in art I used a ‘Lucky Dip’ lotto ticket to choose the colours.
As there was more numbers on the ticket than colours I wished to use I made a separate chart for the last two numbers, I did not give this much thought at the time just used various surfaces, mediums, manipulation techniques then started to add artist’s styles to fill in the spaces left. These idle thoughts although a spring board to many new ideas also cause a lot of frustration and difficulties.
